Easter Service Sunday April 20th. Come early for coffee, breakfast and fellowship. Worship celebration starts at 10:30am. Come expecting a miracle.
Easter Sunday is a day of celebration. It is a day of families coming together. Men and women dress their best. They show up early with family and many want to make sure to snap that picture before they leave. For some, they have not been to Church since last Easter. They feel defeated and even though for a moment, the message of Easter helps to bring encouragement, they walk right back out into bondage.
The beautifully freeing message of Easter is that you cannot do it! You could never do it on your own! This is why Christ came. To set us free. To clothe us in His righteousness.
My prayer is that on Easter Sunday you get to Church with your family. Worship God when the music plays. Pour out your heart to God. When a real encounter happens, you can’t help but walk in freedom.
When all the fake grass, plastic eggs and bunny outfits are back in storage, will you find yourself changed? This year, make an intentional effort to let the message of Easter sink “deep into your heart”. Christ came, lived a spotless life, died a brutal death and defeated the grave so we can walk in freedom and deep fulfillment. Our time on earth is limited. Let’s make the most of every minute, starting this Easter Sunday. The God of second chances is waiting.
