Time to get our hopes up!

Growing up I have heard many people often say, “Don’t get your hopes up.” People say this because often life hands us disappointment. If we get our hopes up to high, then if something does not happen, we feel down or fight depression. This could be for relationships or desires that individuals have. During this season of 2020, many people have felt like hope is going away. Often the greatest leaders are the ones that carry with themselves the greatest hope. Hope for change. Hope for a better day. Your life will always go in the direction of your focus. Focus on hope and you will begin to see great things happen in your life.

Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. There would be no faith if there was no hope. Hope is the beginning of our faith. In this season I hear the Lord saying, “It is time to get our hopes up!” The future is bright. Our best days are ahead. Things are shifting for the better. Things are not getting worse; things are getting better.

If I placed a seed in a drawer for 20 years, it would still only be a seed. Why? The answer is because a seed is a victim of its environment. The good news is, we get to determining what environment our mind is in. Transformation comes from a renewed mind and a renewed mind must have a renewed hope. Your life will get better, your marriage will get batter, your kids will get better, your job can be better, your health can get better. But it all starts with a hope on the inside. I do not have to have to have a better life to have hope, but I do have to have hope before I can have a better life.

I encourage you today to get your hopes up. Your best days are truly ahead!
